Frequently Asked Questions
Q: "Am i fit enough for this event?"
A: Many of our events require a high level of endurance and only you will truly know if you are fit enough to participate. If you contact us and provide us with where you feel you are with your physical fitness, we will aim to provide you with the best guidance we can. Mountain endurance events can be hard going for people of all abilities and therefore we will always aim to support you as best we can throughout the day. If unsure it is best to seek professional medical advice.
Q: "Do you need to be competent in using a map and compass to participate?"
A: If you are participating in one of our guided events, you will have a qualified Mountain Leader with you every step of the way. You will not be expected to navigate, that is what we are here for. Just relax and enjoy the view.
Q: "What pace will we be expected to keep to?"
A: We try our very best to guide in an inclusive a manner as possible and appreciate that there will always be varying differences in fitness within a group. Unless a pace is specifically stated on an event, we will try our best to accommodate all participants with a pace that is comfortable.
Q: "What do I get for my entry fee?"
A: Qualified and insured mountain leaders to guide you and keep you safe throughout your challenge. For our bigger events, we also provide finishers prizes. Some events include minibus transportation within the price, this will always be stated in the event description.
Q: "Is there a mandatory kit list?"
A: All of our events have a mandatory kit list. No matter the time of year or forecast, mountain weather is changeable and therefore you will need to carry the mandatory kit list for your own safety. Upon booking we will send you a mandatory and an advised kit list for your event.
