About the event
Mahoney & Lane Outdoors present the 'Pen Y Fan Horseshoe Sunrise Hike 2020'.
Starting in the dark and walking into the light, this guided 14km circular hike will take you to the highest point in The Brecon Beacons National Park (Pen Y Fan) as well as visiting the neighbouring summits of Corn Du and Cribyn.
With an early start time of 4am, we envisage being high in the beacons by the time the sun appears (weather permitting!), a perfect opportunity for the aspiring photographer and for all to see the incredible South Wales landscape during the golden hour.
This event requires a good level of fitness however not to the extent of some of our bigger challenges like the Welsh 3 Peaks, National 3 Peaks or Ultimate Beacons Challenge.
Whether you're looking to push your limits in a first attempt at a mountain challenge, training for a bigger event or just looking for a great day out in the hills, this is the event for you.
